John Verleger is the Founder and Director of the Family Counseling Center of Baltimore, Inc. He has over 40 years of clinical experience working with individuals, couples, and families. He also has an extensive history of providing training and supervision to other therapists.
Philosophy
John follows what is known as the “Outcome Model.” This means that his priority is to help his client to achieve their desired outcome. For most people, this involves some variation of:

Beth Wheat is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and Co-director of The Family Counseling Center of Baltimore. She has 30 years of clinical experience working with clients of all ages, providing individual, couples and family therapy.
Philosophy
Beth takes a collaborative approach in helping clients achieve their goals. She views the counseling relationship as a true partnership in which both client and clinical make a significant contribution.

Christa Stanton is a licensed clinical professional counselor with over 7 years of clinical experience and training. She specializes in working with children, young adults, couples and families.

Christa has a passion for helping others. She develops her interventions collaboratively with her clients in a warm and supportive manner. She provides a safe, respectful, and nonjudgmental atmosphere where clients can feel a sense of hope and connectedness.

Experience
Jennifer Tinker is an LCSW-C, who has experience working with children, adolescents and adults. She received her Master’s Degree from the University of Maryland School of Social Work in 2010. Since graduation Jennifer has had the privilege of working in outpatient clinics, as well as several schools, providing therapeutic services to children and adults ranging from depression, autism, anxiety, anger management and mood & behavioral disorders.
Philosophy
Jennifer works directly with clients and their families to offer a supportive therapeutic environment which fosters mutual respect, understanding, and positive communication. She assists clients in identifying and embracing personal strengths and attributes which may lend themselves to enhancing their lives as a whole via goal-setting and realistic achievement.

Bill has over 30 years of outpatient clinical experience. He has performed more than 6,000 mental health assessments. For 15 years he was Director of Psychiatric Rehabilitation for Adults in Baltimore County. Later, he was the Clinical Director of a mental health outpatient clinic in Harford County. Most recently, he was the Clinical Coordinator at Mosaic Community Services in Harford County. Bill provides counseling services to adolescents, adults, families, and couples.
Philosophy
Bill believes that most mental health/emotional issues are the result of rigid self- defeating patterns of thoughts, feelings and behavior. Serving as a resource for the client, Bill utilizes a variety of methods to increase greater psychological flexibility and life satisfaction.

Sarita Olson is a licensed clinical social worker with over twenty years of experience. She works with adults and has extensive experience in the areas of stress, depression, anger management, substance abuse, hoarding, parenting, dysfunctional relationships, and veterans’ issues.

Sarita works from the perspective that therapy is a creative, dynamic, and ongoing process which provides a unique opportunity for growth and positive change. She works with her clients to improve their psychological functioning, their relationships, and the overall quality of their lives.
